Alanis Honored at Chamber Luncheon

          Randy Alanis, a senior at Galena Park High School, was recognized as the October Galena Park ISD Student of the Month during the November 7 North Channel Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon in the Monument Room of San Jacinto College North.
          Alanis is president of the Galena Park High School Senior Class of 2009 and is also a member of the Superintendent's Advisory Board and a four-year member and current producer of JACKET-TV. 
          He has organized fundraisers to help pay for the Senior Prom since his freshman year.  Alanis has been a member of Air Force Junior ROTC, the Jacket Yearbook, the Inside Buzz Newspaper, and Quill and Scroll. He has worked for GPHS as a student office aide and spends many Friday nights working for GPISD Stadium as a camera operator for the live broadcasts of football games.
          Alanis plans to attend Lee College in Baytown after graduation and pursue a career in Law Enforcement.
